Welcome to Phoenix Brass

The small group who sat around a table in the White Hart in the Autumn of 1995 to discuss forming the band agreed on several points that became the "ethos" of  Phoenix Brass.

  •  It is a friendly band with none of the internal politics that can spoil what should be an enjoyable hobby.
  •  It is a hobby!
  •  It is understood that there is a life outside of the "Brass Band Movement" and that people have busy lives.

Consequently we normally only rehearses once each week in Crewkerne on a Tuesday evening and welcome anyone who is interested in joining the band to get in touch through the contact page

The band takes part in several contests each year, as well as a range of concerts and other events, including fetes and weddings. Please see the contact page if you are interested in the possibility of having Phoenix Brass at your event. To hear us performing, have a look at the music clips in our downloads area.
