Phoenix will be back at Exmouth in September to defend their title won last year. The Exmouth contest is one that the band looks forward to all year as it is a very relaxed affair with all bands playing a varied selection of music both on the contest stage and outside in the gardens. This year Phoenix will have the added pressure of returning as champions, so our programme will have to better last year to ensure we do our best to try and retain our title.
As per usual, all bands will play twice throughout the day, once outside in the Pavillion Gardens as a free concert for passing listeners, followed by an adjudicated concert programme in main Pavillion. Times at this stage are unkown, but as soon as we know our draw, we will post details on the website. If you like brass band music, this is one of the best contests in our calendar to attend as you are guaranteed to listen to a good selection of brass band music as each band plays their own choice of music in their 30 minute programme.
