Since 1970

Who taught you to play?
My first Brass teacher was a Euphonium player by the name of George Humphries.  I later had lessons at the well regarded Abraham Darby Saturday Music School under the direction of the late Ted Baldwin

Have you played any other brass instrument?
Trumpet, Piccolo Trumpet, Flugel Horn, Post Horn.

Do you have any other hobbies?
I enjoy Cruising holidays with my wife where we try out our ballroom dancing skills. I also sing First Bass in the Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir.

Do you play any other musical instrument?
None

Shropshire Schools Brass Band ,Telford Band, Bridgnorth & District Band, Dawley (Telford) Band, The Band Of The West Mercia Constabulary, Malvern Band, Taunton Concert Band

Have there been any special moments for you with Phoenix?
I've not been with the band long enough, but what a great crowd.

What does the support of our 'Friends of Phoenix' mean to you?
I think it is fantastic that the loyal supporters of the band that do not play for whatever reason have the chance to become a part of the band and are able to enjoy the success of the band from within.
