Jubilee Concert

Saturday night saw the band take to the stage in Crewkerne to play our part in the towns Queens Jubilee Celebrations. The rain did it's best to put poeple off coming out but thankfully the people of Crewkerne are made of sturdy stuff and soon the recreation ground was filling up.

Despite the continual drizzle and few heavier showers, it did not stop the music which was provided by pupils from Wadam School, Quodos and Phoenix nor did it stop everyone from having a great time. People settled down with their picnic blankets, umbrellas and wine and were soon cheering on all the entertainment which was laid on.

To finish the Jubilee Committee commissioned a fantastic fireworks display which was a fitting end to a superb evening. Lets hope the town can find another reason for a repeat of the celebrations ... but perhaps we could add some sunshine next time around.

Thanks to everyone who braved the weather to come and join in the celebrations with us. Thanks also to Hannah Bulgin for taking some great photos of evening, this was really appreciated.
