Wet Afternoon at Barrington Fete

Last Saturday saw Phoenix play at a very wet Barrington Village Fete. Dispite the rain the music played on, even though some of us had to improvise a little to avoid getting soaked. Colin and Phil on EEb bass had to stand for the majority of the concert to ensure that the water gushing off the back of the marquee didn't drench them or fill up their instruments, whilst Matt on solo cornet was grateful of his umbrella to fend off the rain.

A big thanks to Martin Hill from Wincanton band for helping out on Soprano cornet, look forward to seeing you again on Sunday at Dillington House.

For those who didn't get the chance to hear the band properly on Saturday, we are playing again at Dillington House on Sunday afternoon 2nd September. Fingers crossed that the weather will be kinder to us this weekend.
