Phoenix In Bridport

Last Saturday evening saw the band take to the stage in Bridport at the Bridport United Church. This concert has become a regular feature in our annual diary and it was pleasing to see so many people in the audience.

Bridport Concert

Farewell to Adam

This was a special night in that this was the last concert under the direction of Adam Glynn, as sadly he has decided to calll time on the band as his work commitments with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra have taken priority.

Adam has been with the band since January of this year and he has been a steady hand and has help build good musical foundations for whoever takes over. The concert in Bridport was a fitting end to Adam's spell with us, in that a number of the pieces selected for the evening where his own arrangements, including a musical medley from the movies and a fantastic arranement of "Out of Africa".

The band would like to thank Adam for all of his time and hard work that he has given the band since taking over in January. We wish Adam all of the best for the future.

Thanks

We must thank a few friends who stepped in at the last minute to play with us. Thanks to Ash, Dan and Ruth. I'd also like to thank Samson and his wife Ruth (both are new to the band) for taking photographs and a video of the evening. All of which can be seen on our Facebook page, see https://www.facebook.com/groups/142755669067948/

Finally thanks to everyone in the audience for coming along and supporting the band. Thanks also to the organisers from the Bridport United Church for their help in putting this concert on. We hope you all enjoyed our music and that we will return again next year.
