Successful Concert at St John's Church, Yeovil

Saturday night Phoenix Brass were delighted to perform a concert at St Johns Church, Yeovil to help raise funds for the upkeep of this beautiful and historic Church.

The band entertained the audience with a wide varied programme including classical, film music, big band, and some wonderful hymn tune arrangements lifted by the wonderful acoustics of the concert venue.

Also as part of the programme, the audience were treated to a number of fine solo features without music; firstly Song for the Skies performed by Andrew Symes on Eb Bass then Matt Read's flawless performance of Feeling Good on Solo Cornet.

We were extremely grateful to welcome a few guest players to the concert, filling and adding to the band sound. Thank you to you all!

Our biggest "thank you" is to all of you that came and we hope that you enjoyed the concert as much as we did performing to you all. If you have any pictures/videos of the concert we'd love you to share them with us.

Many thanks to the band for a brilliant concert on Saturday!  Enjoyed greatly by all. It was a great success with 80+ people in the audience. We’d very much like you to come again!
