Welcome Back to the Band No. 2
With the New Year brings good news that an "Old" Friend of Phoenix Brass, Gordon Harvey, returns to the Band after just under a year away. I think he missed us really.
When he played with the Band before, he played Cornet, but with all the Christmas Festivities, has put a few pounds on the Cornet and has returned with a Horn, which is great news as we needed a good Horn Player, so until we can find one, we welcome Gordon back!. Good to see you back Gordon.
Another star Cornet player has now joined called Mark Bulgin, who is 12 years old. He is the eldest of Julie (Flugel) & Dave Bulgin (Solo Trombone) and is now coming along to every practice to make sure his Mum & Dad come to Band rather that going off to the Pub!
Also returning for a short while is Steve Taylor who was our 1st Baritone player before he left in early November due to work Commitments (well they all say that, but in Steve’s case was true). He is helping Phoenix out for a while before his work gets too hectic again back on 1st Baritone, which is great for the Band.
The Band are also pleased to welcome back Anne and Vic on Cornet. Vic has been out the Country for a while but has now returned to the UK and can’t wait to get his teeth in to playing Resurgam again. Anne played a few times with us in the Summer after she helped out, at very short notice at Barrington Village Fete, and as they say, liked it so much, decided to help out when she can, and it is great to have a full Cornet Section.
